Story Published in McNeese Review

There were so many amazing highlights from AWP, and one of them had to be getting the new issue of the The McNeese Review. I have one of my favorite short stories in there, a tale inspired by Lu Xun’s classic, Ah Q, which was a story I discovered while wandering a museum in Shanghai. The new story is about a poor Chinese boy living in Guangzhou who finds a trashcan full of cash and how it changes his life, even if only for a short moment. A big big thanks to Editor John Griswold for giving this poor boy a home- the magazine looks beautiful and has such an incredible collection of stories inside. I’m very honored to be included! The story also happens to be dedicated to Joseph Michael Owens who has been a great friend in so many ways, I can’t even begin to list them.
