It’s been a while since I’ve posted something on GameDynamo. It’s one of my favorite gaming sites and I love writing for them. If you haven’t already, check them out, they’re a fabulous site. My editor, Maria Montoro, suggested a list of the most involved games out there and I thought hard and long about them. This is my personal list, based on the games I’ve played. It was a fun overview to write, not to mention I’m just happy to publish something on the site after a long absence!
Hey, GameDynamo readers, it’s been a while! I’ve been traveling in Asia, and now that I’m back, I thought what better way to celebrate than to make a list of the most complicated, deep, and involved games out there. These are the beastly games that take hours, days, even months to complete! I’ll leave out open-ended games that by nature have no ending, like MMORPGs, social games, and Minecraft.
I know time is precious and every one of the games on this list requires a commitment— a long-term commitment. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized I have to delegate and juggle my time better, because I can’t get any of it back. However, when I reflect on the hours I spent on these games, I have no regrets. They were rich experiences, no less than any movie, book, or board game. I only wish I had some more time so I could play some of the other lengthier games like Dragon Age and The Witcher 2. Where’s the New Game Plus option in real life?
