Anyone who knows my eating habits knows how much I love mapo tofu. I’ve had it all over the world, from Paris to Mexico and finally, to its source in China. This was one of my favorite essays to write, not just because I got to talk about one of my favorite foods, but it was also about the topic of advice, good and bad advice as well as unwanted advice.
